A Reading from Lord for the Body by A. B. Simpson

Unseen Forces

"We might show this through the natural world; that force and power, even in the universe, is not in matter, but it is a principle behind matter. You cannot see it; you cannot feel it. Take the subject of gravitation. I need not tell you that the law of gravitation is the greatest force we know; but you cannot see it, you cannot take it in your hand. You can take electricity and bottle it up; you cannot do this with gravitation, but it is the greatest forces there is. Those particles of granite cling together by an unseen force, a kind of spiritual or ethereal force. Well, the most advanced science is unable to tell you anything about it; nobody knows what gravitation is. It is a power you cannot see, but it is the greatest power of nature. And so we might follow all through the natural world, and find it is not visible things, but the invisible things that are strong. God has just given us parables all thorough nature to show us that He wants to raise us above the material, He wants us to see that thing behind the thing we see; He wants us to get to God Himself. Perhaps when they find out the secret of nature, they will find that it is the living God, "for by Him all things consist," or as it is better translated, all things "hang together."  He is wanting us to learn that in our bodies, He wants us to glorify these earthly temples by filling them with something grander and better."

This is beautifully written, profound, and probably inspired.  Matter does not attract--it is actually the push force of gravity with local space time curvature that produces this effect. It appears that Mr. A. B. Simpson intuited this. He also saw that it is the principle behind the force wherein lies the power.

Physicists have long wondered about the lack of symmetry in Maxwell's Equations between Gauss's  law for electricity and his law for magnetism. Of course it can be explained that while there is an electric charge, there is no magnetic charge (or monopole). But there is another and more profound explanation. There is symmetry, but the magnetic charge is in the background field. Gravity is itself is endowed with electromagnetic power and it is spin that expresses it as particles with electromagnetic effect.  An analogy is the way in which a changing magnetic field produces eddy currents in a conductor. Electricity is expressed with magnetic spin, even as magnetic spin manifests with  flowing charge.

Dirac was right--magnetic monopoles do exist but not for long--they are ordained to quickly find an opposite spinning partner to form a little permanent magnet or perhaps an atom (which is a far more complex arrangement than a permanent magnet.

Just remember that when you observe phenomena in a Van de Graaff generator or when you observe interesting phenomena around a permanent magnet--you are seeing one side of the  power of the field. It is being made manifest for you to wonder at or perhaps use.   The field is showing you an effect, even as it is the field that births matter.

Even more profound and true, is what Mr. Simpson has to say next. Behind the invisible power that makes what is visible from that which is unseen is the Creator Himself.
